Äppelträdet i september

En månad har gått sedan jag tittade till äppelträdet förra gången. Den största skillnaden är att äpplena nu är röda. Äpplena smakar inte lika surt längre men de är fortfarande ingen höjdare smakmässigt. Bladen är fortfarande mestadels gröna men många blad är nu angripna och i viss mån uppätna. Fortfarande sitter äpplena kvar i trädet. Jag såg inte till någon fallfrukt på marken nedanför.

It’s been a month since I last visited the apple tree. The biggest difference is that the apples are now red. The apples are less sour than before but they still don’t taste great. The leaves are still mostly green but now many leaves have been attacked by pathogens and some have been partly eaten. The apples are still hanging in the tree. I didn’t see any apples on the ground below.

    1. At least the apples are not as sour as they were last month so it’s moving in the right direction. But I don’t think these apples are ever going to be a hit.

  1. Maybe it’s a good applesauce tree. We’ve got one of those. The apples don’t keep very long so we preserve them into applesauce. It was a dwarf tree that we planted close to 40 years ago.
